1018 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 25,

Mr. Watkins submitted the following amendment:

Chapter VII., title "Schools," section 3, line 4, place a full
stop or period after the word "behavior."

Whick was adopted.

Mr. Harrington submitted the following amendment:

Chapter VII., title "Schools," section 4, line 1, after the
word "children" insert the following: in average attend-
ance.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Watkins submitted the following amendment:

Section 5, line 6, strike out the word "ten," and insert the
word twenty.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Gratch submitted the following amendment:

Section 5, line 6, strike out the word "ten," and insert the
word fifteen.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Richards submitted the following amendment:

Section 9, strike out all after the word "July," in line 12,
to the word "Whitsuntide," inclusive, in line 13.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Purnell submitted the following amendment.

Chapter VII., section 9, strike out in line 9, the words,
"the month of August shall be vacation throughout the whole
State."

Mr. Watkins submitted the following amendment:

Chapter VIII., section 1, line 3, after the word "he," in-
sert the words : or she; and after the word "teach," insert
the word inform.

Mr. Brattan »ubmitted the following amendment :

Chapter XL, section 7, after the word "successor," insert
the following: which said bond, when executed, shall be filed
in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for the county.

Mr. White submitted the following amendment:

Chapter XII., section 6, strike out the word "reached,"
and insert the word exceeded.
