Under the Forest, Wildlife and Heritage Service, the
Program was reorganized in 1996 first as the Wildlife
Diversity and Hentage Program and then as Heritage
and Biodiversity Conservation Programs

NATURAL RESOURCE IMPACT ASSESSMENT
PROGRAM

Formerly under the Coastal and Watershed Resources
Division, Program functions moved to the Watershed
Management and Analysis Division in 1995

NAVIGATION DIVISION

Formerly under the Boating Administration, dis
solved in 1995 Some of its functions were reas-
signed to the Natural Resources Police Force

PARK ADVISORY COMMISSION

Formerly under the Boating Administration, dis
solved m 1995 Its functions were dispersed to Engi
neenng and Construction, and Program Open Space

PUBLIC LANDS & FORESTRY

Reorganized in 1995 as Public Lands

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Renamed the Resource Management Service in 199 5

SCIENCE ADVISORY BOARD

Formerly under the Monitoring and Nontidal As
sessment Division of the Resource Assessment
Service, the Board was disbanded in November
1995 due to budget reductions

SHORE EROSION CONTROL PROGRAM

Formerly under the Boating Administration, dis
solved m 1995 Its functions were reassigned to the
State Forest and Park Service, and the Land and
Water Conservation Service

SPECIAL PROJECTS

Formerly under the Coastal and Watershed Re
sources Division, Special Projects functions were
absorbed by the Geographic Information Services
Division of the Chesapeake and Coastal Watershed
Service in 1995

STATE MAPPING COMMITTEE

Formerly under the Maryland Geological Survey,
the Committee has been inactive since 1994

TARGETED WATERSHEDS PROGRAM

Formerly under the Coastal and Watershed Re
sources Division, some Program functions were
incorporated into the Watershed Restoration Dm
sion in 1995

TIDEWATER ADMINISTRATION

Formerly under Resource Management, the Tide
water Administration was reorganized in 1995 first
as the Resource Assessment Administration and
then the Resource Assessment Service under
Chesapeake Bay and Watershed Programs

WATER RESOURCES ADMINISTRATION

Transferred to the Department of the Environment
m 1995 (Chapter 488, Acts of 1995)

WATERFOWL ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Under the Wildlife Program of the Forest, Wildlife
and Heritage Service, the Committee has been
called the Migratory Waterfowl Adv isory Commit
tee since 1994

WATERSHED IMPACT EVALUATION PROGRAM

Formerly under the Coastal and Watershed Re
sources Division, in 1995 some of its functions
transferred to the Watershed Management and
Analysis Division

WATERWAY SERVICES

Formerly under the Boating Administration, dis-
solved in 1995 Its functions were reassigned to the
Land and Water Conservation Service and the Li
