DIVISION OF ELIGIBILITY SERVICES
Formerly under the Medical Care Operations Ad-
ministration, the Division was reorganized in 1993
as Recipient Eligibility Programs under the Pro-
gram Systems and Operations Administration.
DIVISION OF HEALTH EDUCATION
Within the Local and Family Health Administra-
tion, the Division was reorganized in November
1993 as the Office of Health Promotion Education
and Tobacco Prevention.
DIVISION OF PATIENT CARE SERVICES
Under the AIDS Administration, the Division's
functions in 1991 were assigned to the Division of
Professional Education and Health Serivces.

TRAINING
Under the AIDS Administration, the Division was
reorganized in 1991 as the Division of Professional
Education and Health Services.
DIVISION OF PROVIDER SERVICES
Formerly under the Medical Care Operations Ad-
ministration, functions of the Division in 1993 were
assigned to Maryland Access to Care (MAC) Re-
cipient Services and Medical Assistance (MA)
Provider Relations.
DIVISION OF SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Formerly under the Medical Care Operations Ad-
ministration, the Division was reformed in 1993 as
the Kidney Disease Program under the Program
Systems and Operations Administration.
EXECUTIVE OPERATIONS OFFICE
Formerly under the Deputy Secretary for Opera-
tions, the Office was disbanded in 1993.
FILM LIBRARY
The Film Library of the General Services Admini-
stration was reorganized as Library Services and
Special Projects in 1991.
INFORMATION SERVICES ADMINISTRATION
Formerly under Operations, the Administration, as
Information Services, was made part of the Program
Systems and Operations Administration under
Health Care Policy, Finance, and Regulation in 1993.
INTERDEPARTMENTAL COMMITTEE ON
MANDATED HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFITS
Formerly under the Policy and Health Statistics
Administration, the Committee has not been
funded since 1991.
LICENSURE COMMITTEE
Under the State Board of Physician Quality Assur-
ance, the Committee was disbanded in 1992.

LONG-TERM CARE PROGRAM
Under the Licensing and Certification Administra-
tion, the Long-Term Care Program was reorganized
in 1992 as Long-Term Care, Community Mental
Health and Substance Abuse Programs.
MARYLAND ACCESS TO CARE (MAC)
PROGRAM
Formerly under the Medical Care Operations Ad-
ministration, reorganized in 1993 as Maryland Ac-
cess to Care (MAC) Recipient Services and Medical
Assistance (MA) Provider Relations under the Pro-
gram Systems and Operations Administration.
MEDICAL CARE COMPLIANCE
ADMINISTRATION
In November 1993, the Administration merged
with the Office of Administration and Finance to
form the Medical Care Finance and Compliance
Administration.

ADMINISTRATION
In December 1993, the Administration was reor-
ganized as the Program Systems and Operations
Administration.
MONTEBELLO CENTER
In 1992, the Center was transferred to the Univer-
sity of Maryland Medical System Corporation
(Chapter 598, Acts of 1992).
OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE
In November 1993, the Office merged with the Medi-
cal Care Compliance Administration to form the Medi-
cal Care Finance and Compliance Administration.
OFFICE OF CHILD HEALTH SERVICES
Under the Local and Family Health Administra-
tion, the Office was renamed the Office of Child
Health in 1993.
OFFICE OF FEDERAL RELATIONS
Formerly under the Deputy Secretary for Health
Care Policy, Finance, and Regulation, the Office of
Federal Relations ceased to function in 1992 due to
budget constraints.

The Standard Benefit Task Force was created in
1993 (Chapter 9, Acts of 1993). The Task Force
was to advise the Maryland Health Care Access and
Cost Commission on the initial development of a
standard comprehensive health benefit plan.
The Task Force submitted its report to the Maryland
Health Care Access and Cost Commission in Novem-
ber 1993 and held its last meeting December 16,1993.
