NONPOINT SOURCE (NPS) COMPLIANCE
REGION 2 DIVISION
In 1993, renamed the Western Inspection Division
under the Inspection and Compliance Program of
the Water Management Administration.

REGION 3 DIVISION
In 1993, renamed the Eastern Inspection Division
under the Inspection and Compliance Program of
the Water Management Administration.
NONPOINT SOURCE (NPS) COMPLIANCE
REGION 4 DIVISION
Functions of the Division were transferred to other
divisions under the Inspection and Compliance
Program of the Water Management Administration
in 1993.
POLICY & EVALUATION PROGRAM
Formerly under the Sediment and Stormwater Ad-
ministration, the Program was reorganized in 1992
as the Nonpoint Source Permits Program under the
Water Management Administration.
SCHOOL ASBESTOS ASSISTANCE DIVISION
In 1993, the Division was reorganized as the Asbes-
tos Accreditation and School Assistance Division.
SEDIMENT & STORMWATER
ADMINISTRATION
In 1992, functions were assigned to the Water
Management Administration.
SPECIAL PROJECTS DIVISION
Formerly under the Water Supply Program, the
Division was renamed in 1993 as the Source Pro-
tection and Compliance Division under the Public
Drinking Water Program of the Water Management
Administration.
SPRAY IRRIGATION & GROUNDWATER
PROTECTION DIVISION
In 1993, renamed the Groundwarer Protection Divi-
sion under the Individual Septics and Wells Program
of the Water Management Administration.
STANDARDS & SHELLFISH SANITATION
PROGRAM
In 1993, renamed the Water Quality Program un-
der the Water Management Administration.
TOXICS, ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE &
HEALTH ADMINISTRATION
In 1992, functions were assigned to various units,
including the Waste Management Administration,

Water Management Administration, Chesapeake
Bay and Watershed Administration, and Office of
the Secretary. The PCB Compliance Program con-
cerning the federal Toxic Substances Control Act
(TSCA) was ended. The Administration's work
with asbestos continues under the Air and Radia-
tion Management Administration.
TOXICS OPERATIONS DIVISION
Formerly under the Environmental Response and
Restoration Program of the Waste Management Ad-
ministration, functions of the Division were reassigned
in 1992. The toxics registries function became part of
the Tracking and Toxics Inventory Division of the
Waste Management Program. The Lead Abatement
and Demonstration Project, previously overseen by
the Toxics Operations Division, was merged with the
Lead Compliance Division of the Environmental Re-
sponse and Restoration Program.
TOXICS OPERATIONS PROGRAM
Under the Toxics, Environmental Science and
Health Administration, the Program became the
Toxics Operations Division within the Waste Man-
agement Administration in 1992.
TRACKING & CERTIFICATION DIVISION
Within the Waste Management Administration, the
Division was renamed the Tracking and Toxics In-
ventory Division of the Hazardous Waste Program
in 1993.
UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS (UST)
DIVISION
Within the Waste Management Administration,
functions of the Division were assigned to the Com-
pliance and Remediation Division of the Oil Con-
trol Program in 1993.
WASTEWATER INSPECTION DIVISION
In 1993, renamed the Enforcement Division under
the Inspection and Compliance Program of the
Water Management Administration.
WATER QUALITY OPERATION PROGRAM
Under the Water Management Administration, re-
formed in 1992 as the Standards and Shellfish
Sanitation Program.
WATER SUPPLY PROGRAM
Under the Water Management Administration, re-
named the Public Drinking Water Program in 1993.
