In July 1987 and July 1988, the Task Force
submitted reports to the Governor. The Task Force,
in 1989, was succeeded by the Governor's Motor
Carrier Task Force for Safety and Uniformity

The Commission submitted an interim report to
the Governor in October 1988. Its work was com-
pleted when the Maryland Vietnam Veterans
Memorial was dedicated on May 28,1989, at 2825
S. Hanover Street, Middle Branch Dark, Baltimore.'
The Memorial displays the names of the 1,046 State
residents who died in Vietnam from 1959 to 1975.
Included among these are the names of 37
Marylanders who are listed as missing-in-action.
