Initially named Central Operations in 1981, this
Office oversees centralized functions such as the

State Parent Locator Service, Tax Refund and other
intercept programs, Central Register^ and Inter-
state Processing. In 1991, the Office became the
Office of Policy and Central Operations and as-
sumed reponsibility for developing program policy,
regulations, and legislative initiatives.

INTERAGENCY CHILD CARE COUNCIL

Authorization for the Council ceased as of July 1,
1991. Council functions were assumed by the Child
Care Administration Advisory Council.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACCESS OF
MARYLAND

Transferred in 1991 to the Department of General
Services (House Bill 853, Acts of 1991).

TELECOMMUNICATIONS FOR DISABLED
INDIVIDUALS BOARD

In 1991, renamed as the Governor's Advisory
Board for Telecommunications Relay and trans-
ferred to the Department of General Services
(House Bill 853, Acts of 1991).

OFFICE OF WELFARE EMPLOYMENT
POLICY

In 1989, functions of the Office were transferred to
the Department of Economic and Employment
Development (Executive Order 01.01.1989.09).
