CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT
QUESTION No. 3

COUNTY GOVERNING BODIES

(Chapter 707, Acts of 1986)

Repeals the general requirement that county commissioners and county
council members be elected at-large by the voters of the entire county; per-
mits county commissioners and council members to be elected by districts,
at-large or a combination of these methods, as provided by the General As-
sembly and county charters, respectively; makes transitional provisions;
and repeals obsolete language.

CLERKS OF COURT

(Chapter 722, Acts of 1986)

Provides that the clerks of court shall be funded through the State budg-
et; and declares all fees, commissions, or other revenues established by law
for these offices shall be State revenues, except as provided by the General
Assembly.
