CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT
QUESTION No. 1

GENERAL ASSEMBLY VACANCIES
(Chapter 649, Acts of 1980

Requires the person nominated and appointed to fill a vacancy in the
House of Delegates or Senate of Maryland to be a member of the same po-
litical party, if any, as that of the vacating Delegate or Senator, at the time
of the vacating member's last election or appointment to office.

HARFORD COUNTY COUNCIL
(Chapter 694, Acts of 1986)

Requires the Charter of Harford County to provide for the election of
members of the county council by the voters of the entire county.
