In June 1986, the Governor created the Gover-
nor's Commission to Study the Workers' Com-
pensation System (Executive Order 01. 01. 1986.
11). The Commission charge was to review laws,
procedures, and other matters relating to the cost
and efficient provision of workers' compensation.
On January 12, 1987, the Commission reported
its findings and recommendations to the Gover-
nor.

The Governor's Commission on Workmen's
Compensation Laws was abolished in 1986 (Exec-
utive Order 01.01.1986.11). It was replaced by the
Governor's Commission to Study the Workers'
Compensation System.
