erage Committee. He has served as President and
continues as Board Member of the Business and
Industry Advisory Council to the Prince George's
County School System and as Director of The
First American Bank of Maryland. Until his ap-
pointment as Secretary of State, he served as a
Board Member of the Maryland State Chamber of
Commerce.

Secretary Kelly is a member of the Knights of
Columbus. He also served as Lector and Cantor
at Saint Jerome's Catholic Church.

The recipient of many awards, Mr. Kelly was
selected as Jaycee International Senator, the high-
est award of the Jaycee organization. He was cho-
sen one of the five outstanding young Mary-
landers. He also was recognized by C & P

Telephone Company for their annual Citizenship
Award and by the Prince George's County
Human Relations Commission for their Commu-
nity Service Award.

Secretary Kelly is married to the former Barba-
ra Doolittle. They have seven children and five
grandchildren. The Kellys reside at 12404 Pleas-
