each congressional district is represented by one
member, and one member serves at large. Of the
remaining members, one each is appointed from
the American Legion, the Disabled American
Veterans, the Catholic War Veterans, the
AMVETS, the Jewish War Veterans, the Veterans
of Foreign Wars, the Veterans of World War I, the
Maryland Retired Officers Association, the Marine
Corps League, the Polish-American War Veterans,
the Fleet Reserve Association, the Order of the
Purple Heart, and the American Ex-Prisoners of
War, Inc. The Governor designates the chair-
person. The Commission appoints the Executive
Director.
