The Governor created this council in 1983 to
advise the new Child Support Enforcement Ad-
ministration (Executive Order .01.01.1983). The
Council will recommend to the Secretary of Hu-
man Resources and the Governor improvements in
the administration, resources, and judicial process
of the child support program. It also will study the
legal, administrative, and fiscal relationships gov-
erning the program, including federal law, regula-
tions and funding, and other states' programs. In
addition, the Council is to increase public aware-
ness of the child support program, including its
services and the legal rights of custodial and non-
custodial parents.
The Council submitted an interim report in
August 1984 and will submit a final report by July
1985.

The Governor established this commission by
Executive Order in 1979. The Commission has
completed an in-depth study of the State's compen-
sation and personnel policies and has recom-
mended improvements in the current system of
compensating State employees at all levels. It will
assess if and to what extent problems exist related
to pay comparability between male and female

dominated classifications. In addition, the Com-
mission is pursuing its broad charge to determine
the extent to which the State's personnel policies
promote efficiency and productivity and to assess
the impact of compensation and personnel policies
on women and minorities in State government.

The former Commission on Condominiums was
dissolved in 1982 and reconstituted the same year
by the Governor as the Governor's Commission on
Condominiums, Cooperatives and Homeowners
Associations. The new Commission is to study
condominiums, cooperatives, and homeowners as-
sociations; review and evaluate existing laws per-
taining to them; and ascertain what problems exist
in their development and operation. The Commis-
sion will report its findings to the Governor and
General Assembly and recommend legislative ac-
tion.
