Chapter 321—1982

FOR the purpose of eliminating a gender-specific ref-
erence in the Maryland Constitution and replacing it
with a gender-neutral reference in certain provisions
pertaining to imprisonment for debt; clarifying and
specifying the meaning of the term "alimony"; and sub-
mitting this amendment to the qualified voters of the
State of Maryland for their adoption or rejection.
