The Division conducts management studies,
performance audits, and program analyses of the
various State agencies and programs. In addition,
the Division provides technical assistance to State
agencies in management, planning, program eval-
uation, and systems development. The Division
also is responsible for the promulgation of rules
and regulations for the economical and efficient
use of State-owned motor vehicles (Code 1957,
Art. 15A, secs. 23, 23A).

The Division of Management Information Ser-
vices has the responsibility for word processing
and automatic data processing coordination and
planning, and for management control of State
data processing resources. The Division manages
and develops State ADP resources according to a
master plan, which is periodically updated to re-
flect future information requirements (Code 1957,
Art. 15A, sec. 23B).
