170 Consists of 15 members. The designated members of the Commission are the Superin- tendent of Schools, the Director of Social Services, the County Health Officer, the Com- manding Officer of the Patuxent River Naval Station, the President of the County Minis- terial Association, the Dean of the Catholic Clergy, the ranking officer of the State Police Detachment, a member of the Board of County Commissioners, the State's Attorney, the director of the Juvenile Services Administration, and the County Sheriff or their represen- tatives. The remaining members are selected by the designated members from residents of St. Mary's County who play an active part in providing youth services for three year terms. The Commission selects its own chairman (Ch. 870, Acts of 1973). 171 To consist of 12 members appointed by the County Commissioners. Members include a County Commissioner, the Superintendent of Schools, the Director of Social Services, the Director of Employment Security, the Vocational Rehabilitation representative of the State Department of Education, the President of the St. Mary's County Association for Retarded Children, and 5 at-large members. The enumerated members serve ex officio, while the at-large members serve for 4-year terms. The Board elects its own officers and appoints the Director (Ch. 199, Acts of 1970). 172 Consists of II members including a representative of the Catholic Clergy of St. Mary 'a County, designated by the Director; a representative of the Ministerial Association of St. Mary's County, designated by the Association; a representative of the St. Mary's County Board of Education, designated by the Board; a representative of the St. Mary's County Bar Association, designated by the Association; 4 members appointed by the County Com- missioners: 3 members appointed by the representatives of St. Mary's County in the General Assembly. Members serve 4-year terms (Ch. 572, Acts of 1963). 173 Consists of II members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners for 2-year terms. The Commission selects its own officers. The President of the Board of County Com- missioners serves ex officio. The Director is appointed by the Commission (Ch. 533, Acts of 1957). |
