McNeal Retail Merchants Association, 200 West Baltimore Street, Baltimore 21201 Telephone: 752-1086 The Governor appointed this special commission in 1970 at the request of the General Assembly to study the use and regulation of credit cards within the State. The Commission consists of seven members of whom three represent firms which are active in extending credit, three of whom are members of the General Assembly and one represents the general public. The Commission is to report its findings and recommendations to the General Assembly at a later date (Res. No. 41, Acts of 1970). COMMISSION ON CRIMINAL LAW Chairman: Frederick W. Brune Franklin G. Baltimore Street, Baltimore 21201 The Governor appointed this special commission in 1965 at the request of the General Assembly to make a comprehensive study and review of the criminal laws of the State, criminal procedures and the administration of criminal justice. The Commission submitted its interim report on October 16, 1971 to the Governor and the Legis- lature, and is continuing its studies. It will submit its final report at a later date (J. R. Resnick. 1505 Cranwell Road, Timonium 21093 The Governor appointed this special Commission in 1971 at the request of the General Assembly. The purpose of the Commission is to study the overall problem of dyslexia and its attendant problems in education and to determine what steps need be taken in Maryland to cope with the problem (Res. No. 107, 1&71). |
