arships covering tuition only (Chapter 754, Acts of 1965).
SAINT JOSEPH COLLEGE, Emmitsburg 21727; Sister Rosemary
staff, President; established 1809 under the auspices of the Sisters
of Charity; liberal arts and sciences, nursing, home economics,
secretarial science, pre-social work, teacher preparation. Female
enrollment only. 29 full scholarships covering room, board and
tuition (Chapter 754, Acts of 1965). Appropriation 1966: $47,850.
WASHINGTON COLLEGE, Chestertown 21620; Daniel Z. Gibson,
President; established 1782; liberal arts, teacher preparation;
co-educational. State scholarships: 38 covering tuition, room and
board, and textbooks; 29 covering tuition and textbooks (Code
1957, Art. 77, sees. 269-75). The Governor appoints 12 of the 37
trustees, one from each of the counties on the Eastern Shore and
three at large, for terms of six years (Acts 1922, chap. 121).

Ensor, President; established 1868; related to The Methodist
Church; liberal arts and sciences, music, and teacher preparation;
co-educational. 29 State scholarships covering tuition, room and
board; 58 covering tuition only (Code 1957, Art. 77, sec. 265).
Appropriations: 1965, $100,000; 1966, $132,400.

CHARLOTTE HALL SCHOOL, Charlotte Hall; M. D. Burgee, Prin-
cipal; established 1774; boys' preparatory, military, grades 7-12.
29 State scholarships covering tuition, room and board (Code
1957, Art. 77, sees. 276-277). Appropriations: 1965, $30,000; 1966,
$30,000.
McDONOGH SCHOOL, McDonogh 21208; Robert L. Lamborn, Head-
master; established 1873; boys' preparatory, grades 1-12, boarding
and day (Chapter 86, Acts of 1949). Appropriations: 1965, $10,000;
1966, $10,000.
WEST NOTTINGHAM ACADEMY, Golora 21917; Norman G. Farnlof,
Headmaster; established 1744 as an adjunct of the Nottingham
Presbyterian Church; grades 8-12 and PG, boarding and day;
co-educational (Chapter 86, Acts of 1949). Appropriations: 1965,
$1,500; 1966, $1,500.
