The Governor appointed this Committee in 1962 to help develop a
coordinated program of resources development and conservation. The
Committee is continuing its studies.

The Governor appointed this seventeen-member Commission in 1965
to develop to the fullest extent the potential of the women of Mary-
land. The Commission is to find ways and means of utilizing the
womanpower of the State to the best advantage in the home and in
the labor force. The Commission is empowered to preview the progress
of and make recommendations as needed for the fullest development
of the status of women in the area of possible discrimination against
women in regard to political and civil rights, property rights, and
treatment under law. The Commission is to report from time to time.
