The Commission was instructed to determine whether or not a Con- stitutional Convention should be held, and if so, to set up the proce- dures for calling such a convention, and the procedures for the elec- tion of any delegates to a Convention. C. 20005 The Governor appointed this special committee at the request of the General Assembly in 1964 to study the desirability of formulating a program for firearms training in Maryland. The Committee consisted of members of the National Rifle Association, the Board of Education, the Game and Inland Fish Commission, the Izaak Walton League, the Maryland Wildlife Federation., the Legislative Council, and representa- tives of farm groups. The Committee submitted its report to the Governor and General Assembly in 1965 (J. R. No. 10, Acts of 1&64). GOVERNOR'S ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON NUCLEAR ENERGY Chairman: Henry T. Douglas Gordon M. Office of the Governor, Annapolis 21404 In response to the suggestion of the Southern Regional Advisory Council on Nuclear Energy, the Governor set up this Committee in 1969 to consider the many questions raised by the use of nuclear energy and to advise the Governor. A member of the Committee is to represent each of the various fields affected: agriculture, education, industry, labor, law, medicine, power, public health, transportation, biology, and sanitary engineering.
