MASTER PLAN FOR FORESTS AND PARKS

At the request of the General Assembly, the Governor appointed
this Committee in 1961 to meet with representatives of the Depart-
ment of Forests and Parks assigned to the Master Plan Project in
order to assist in the development of the Master Plan, The Committee
is composed of the Directors of the Department of Forests and Parks,
the State Planning Department, and the Department of Budget and
Procurement, together with members of the Legislative Council
Subcommittee on Parks appointed in 196O. The Committee is to sub-
mit the Master Plan to the Legislative Council by October 1, 1961,
and the Study Committee is to report its findings to the 1962 Session
of the General Assembly (J. R. No. 38, Acts of 1961).

BLUE SKY LAW OF MARYLAND

The Governor appointed this Committee in 1961 to determine the
adequacy of the present Blue Sky Law (Code 1957, Art. 32A). The
Committee was further directed to determine whether the law could
be more efficiently administered by some other department of the
State which is more closely allied to the brokerage business, through
some other department set up for the sole purpose of administering
the law, or by the State Law Department. The Committee is to re-
port to the Legislative Council and to the General Assembly by Octo-
ber 1, 1961 (J. R. No. 18, Acts of 1961).
