APPROPRIATIONS, 1950
Educational Institutions:

Charlotte Hall School. (In return for the allowance,
Charlotte Hall School shall furnish 29 scholarships,
as provided by Chapter 321 of the Acts of 1898.
including tuition, board and room rent.) ........
Johns Hopkins University. (In return for the allow-
ance, Johns Hopkins University shall furnish 15u
scholarships, as provided by Chapter 447 of the
Acts of 1949)....................................
McDonogh School tor Boys .........................
Maryland Institute ...................................
St. John's College. (In return for the allowance, St.
John's College shall furnish 29 scholarships. In-
cluding tuition, board and room rent, and 26
scholarships covering tuition only, as provided in
Chapter 111 of the Acts of 1908)...................
Washington College. (In return for the allowance,
Washington College shall furnish 36 scholarships
covering tree tuition, board, room rent and text-
books, and 25 covering free tuition and textbooks
and 50 covering free tuition, as provided in Chapter
309 of the Acts of 1910: Chapter 293 of the Acts of
1898; Chapter 188 of the Acts of 1896; Chapter
154 of the Acts of 1892; Chapter 339 of the Acts
of 1870; Chapter 219 of thes Acts of 1856; Resolu-
tion 34 of the Acts of 1839.) ....................

West Nottingham Academy..........................
Western Maryland College. (In return for the allow-
ance, Western Maryland College shall furnish 58
scholarships covering tree tuition and board, and
tor one male and one female student from each
Senatorial District of the State, and 14 scholar-
ships covering tuition, two from each Election
District of Carroll County, as provided by Chapter
106 of the Acts of 1898; Chapter 279 of the Acts
of 1890; Chapter 239 of the Acts of 1878.) ........

Maryland League for Crippled Children, Inc.........

Note: This appropriation is to be disbursed by the
Treasury Department (to the indicated institu-
tion) on transmlttals from the State Department
of Health, in accordance with regulations pre-
scribed by the said State Department of Health.
Any part of this appropriation, by consent of both
parties, may be used for matching purposes in the
event Federal Funds are available.
