Chapter 877..Acts of 1941

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 77 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Public Education" sub-title "St.
Mary's Female Seminary", providing for the appointment of a Board
of Trustees for the management and control of St. Mary's Female
Seminary, and abolishing the present Board of Trustees of said
institution.

St. Mary's Female Seminary shall be under the control, super-
vision and management of a Board of Trustees to be appointed by
the Governor. The said Board of Trustees shall consist of twelve
(12) members, and of those first appointed, four shall be appointed
for a term of two years, four for a term of four years, and four for
a term of six years. At least six of the members first appointed shall
be selected from the present Board of Trustees of St. Mary's Female
Seminary. In case of a vacancy from death, resignation or otherwise,
the Governor shall appoint a person, to fill the unexpired term of the
member causing said vacancy. The members of this Board to serve
without compensation.
