Bailment.
Persons above the age of 16 years, which shall absent
themselves from
the Church by the space of one month, and shall be thereof lawfully convicted,
shall forfeit for every month 20 l. And if he shall not be
able,
or shall fail to pay the same within three months after Judgment thereof
given, he shall be committed to prison, there to remain until he hath
paid the said sum, or conform himself to go to the Church, &c.

So of such persons as shall keep any Schoolmaster,
which shall absent
themselves from the Church as aforesaid, or which shall not be allowed
by the Ordinary; if such persons shall not be able, or shall fail to pay
the
penalty, (sc. 10 l. for every month) within three months,
&c. he shall

Gaol, there to remain without bail, until they have paid (among them)
