SOCIAL WELFARE SURVEY COMMISSION

The Legislature of 1929, by Joint Resolution No 11, provided that
the Governor should appoint a commission of seven members to investi
gate the situation relative to the provisions made by the State and by
privately supported agencies for the needs of disadvantaged citizens of
the State, and report to the Governor its recommendations for submis
sion to the General Assembly of 1931-
