854 TALBOT COUNTY. [ART. 20.

manner: one-fourth to the sheriff or constable making the arrest
and seizure, and the residue amongst those whom he may have
summoned, and who may have aided in the same, to be de-
termined and awarded by the justice of the peace.

90. Any person aggrieved by any judgment rendered against
him by a justice, under the 88th section of this article, may
appeal therefrom to the Circuit Court for Talbot county, within
the same time and upon the same terms prescribed for appeals
from judgments of justices of the peace in other cases.

JURORS.

91. Each juror summoned on the regular panel of jurors to the
Circuit Court for Talbot county, shall be entitled to receive for
each day he shall attend as juror the sum of one dollar and six
and a quarter cents a mile for every mile his residence shall be
distant from the place of holding the court, such mileage to be
computed for each day's attendance, but not to be allowed on
the return trip to his residence.

92. The sheriff shall note upon the list of jurors, before he
returns the same to the clerk of the Circuit Court, the distance
each juror summoned resides from the place of holding the court,
and the said clerk shall return a copy of said list, with the
distance of their respective places of residence, to the county
commissioners for said county.

JUSTICES OF THE PEACE AND CONSTABLES.

93. There shall be the following number of justices of the
peace and constables in Talbot county, to wit: for election
district number one, three justices of the peace and two con-
stables ; for election district number two, three justices of the
peace and two constables; for election district number three,
two justices of the peace and two constables; for election
district number four, two justices of the peace and two con-
stables; for election district number five, two justices of the
peace *and two constables.

94. A judgment of a justice of the peace for said county shall
be a lien on the lands of the defendant therein, in said county,
from the day on which a copy thereof is filed in the office of the
