ALMS-HOUSE.

SECTION 1. The trustees of the poor in Talbot county are a
body politic, with the power to sue and be sued, by the name of
"The Trustees of the Poor for Talbot county;" and by that
name they may receive and hold any gift, donation or present
which may be given, devised or bequeathed by any person to
them for the support and maintenance of the poor in said
county.

2. They may acquire and hold any lands or tenements not ex-
ceeding the yearly value of fifteen hundred dollars.

3. They may use a common seal, and the same, if necessary,
may change and alter.

4. The number of said trustees shall be five, and as often as
any one of them shall die, or remove out of the county and
