the distance of one hundred feet therefrom, that is to say: begin-
ning at a point on the side of the road leading from said alley to
the steam mill bridge, at the distance of one hundred feet from
said alley, and running southward and parallel with said alley
the whole extent thereof; and the northern precincts shall con-
tain all those lots which are embraced by the line extending
from the margin of the Menokin River, opposite the branch or
gully on the western side of Gideon Pearce's grounds, thence up
the said gully to the northern extremity thereof, and thence by
a line extending easterly with the northern extremity of said
Pearce's grounds, passing the lot of William Crockett, the meet-
ing house and the county road, to the northeast branch of the
said river, and thence by and with the said river to the bridge
of Bombay Hook, these being the boundaries of said precincts
contained in the act of eighteen hundred and fifteen, chapter
seventy-three, and the act of eighteen hundred and thirty,
chapter one hundred and twenty.

EEGISTEB OF WILLS.

137. The Register of Wills of Somerset county, in the recess of
the Orphans' Court of said county, may pass any account or claim
against the estate of a deceased person for any amount not ex-
ceeding one hundred dollars, and on the return of any inventory
of the personal estate of a deceased person, may pass an order
for a sale of the property contained therein.

138. No licensed retailer of spirituous liquors in said county
shall be held to answer for any violation of the provisions of law
forbidding spirituous liquors to be drank in and about their pre-
mises, but such prohibition shall be inoperative in said county.

139. No person shall sell nor keep for sale any spirituous or
intoxicating liquors within the bounds of Tangier district, being
district number fifteen of Somerset county, and the clerk of the
Circuit Court for said county shall not grant any license for any
such sale or disposal; nor shall any person give away such liquor,
or keep it with the intent to give away, (but as a medicine by
physicians or for sacramental purposes,) in any tavern, store,
grocery, shop, boarding or victualling house, or place of public
amusement, or any place connected therewith; nor shall it be.
lawful to deposit any such liquor, except in a dwelling house, or
