said pupil shall at any time withdraw or be dismissed from said
academy, the said trustees shall, upon application, receive an-
other, upon like terms, from the district in which the pupil
leaving may reside, and so, from time to time, so long as they
may receive the appropriation from the free school fund..

170*. The Orphans' Court of Prince George's county are here-
by directed to allow to the register of wills of said county out of
the school fund under their control the sum of one hundred dol-
lars per annum, from the year eighteen hundred and fifty-two to
the year eighteen hundred and fifty-nine, both inclusive, in addi-
tion to what they have heretofore allowed him, for keeping the
books relating to the school fund in the hands of the said Or-
phans' Court, and the said Orphans' Court shall hereafter allow
to the said register the sum of two hundred dollars annually for
the said service, to bo paid out of the said school fund.

SHERIFF.

171. The sheriff of said county shall be allowed fifty cents a
day for keeping and supporting each person committed to the
jail of said county for breach of the peace, or any criminal
offence, to be levied and paid by the county commissioners.

172. He shall be entitled to fifty cents a day for keeping and
supporting each runaway slave committed to said jail, to be paid
by the owner thereof.

173*. He shall be entitled to receive two dollars a day for

attending upon the Orphans' Court of said county, to be levied
and paid by the county commissioners.

174. Ho shall be entitled to fifty cents each, for delivering cer-
tificates of appointment as trustees of the poor, to the persons
appointed, to be levied and paid by the county commissioners.

SWINE AND GEESE.

175. Any free white person may take up and impound any
geese or swine which may be found going at large in the town
of Upper Marlborough in said county, and the person so doing
shall give four days' notice thereof by advertisement set up at
four of the most public places in the town, describing the geese
or swine impounded, and that the same will be sold at public sale
