in an adjournment, on the application of any person having press-
ing business in the said court; Provided, notice be given to all of
said judges, and in such case the register shall record that such
notice hath been given.
35. The compensation of each judge of the Orphans' Court of
said county shall be two dollars and fifty cents for each day of
his attendance, and if he shall reside more than one mile from
the court, he shall receive, in addition to his per diem, mileage at
the rate of five cents for each mile of necessary travel going and
returning from each of their respective meetings, such mileage
not to be allowed more than once for. a session of more than two
days.
36. The said court may appoint a bailiff, and such bailiff shall be
entitled to a per diem of two dollars during the sittings of the court.
87. In all cases where guardian's accounts had been opened,on
the books of the Orphans' Court of Anne Arundel county prior
to the formation of Howard District, it shall be the duty of the
register of wills of Anne Arundel county, at the request of any
such guardian, to cause such copies and extracts to be made under
seal, as may be necessary for a full statement of such guardian's
account, which copies and extracts when received by the register
of wills of Howard county shall be placed on record, and shall
be sufficient authority for, and it shall be the duty of the Or-
phans' Court of said county to direct accounts to be opened with
such guardian in the same manner and under the same restric-
tions as if such guardian's accounts had originated in said
county.
38. In all cases in which guardian's accounts shall be trans-
ferred under the last aforegoing section, a full copy of such.
guardian's bond, under seal, shall accompany the copies and
extracts aforesaid, and be recorded by the register of wills of
Howard county, and shall be as effectual in law as if originally
filed in the office of said register.
OUT-PENSIONS.
89. The county commissioners of Howard county may annually
levy sneh sums of money as will provide for the relief of paupers
in said county, provided they shall in no case levy a sum exceed-
ing sixty dollars.
