618 , HAEFORD COUNTY. [ART. 12.

68. All the property held by former commissioners of Havre
de Grace under laws, grants or otheiwise, is vested in the said
commissioners.

69. The said commissioners shall not issue any note, token or
evidence of debt to be used as currency.

INSPECTORS.

70. The Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate,
shall appoint an inspector of flour in Havre de Grace, in Harford
county, who shall perform the duties and receive the compen-
sation prescribed for inspectors of flour in Baltimore city.

71. The Governor shall, with the advice and consent of the
Senate, appoint two inspectors of lumber for the town of Havre
de Grace, said inspectors to have the power to appoint one deputy
each. The said inspectors shall inspect all lumber arriving at
Havre de Grace, and intended for the consumption of Harford
county.

72. The lumber at Havre de Grace intended for re-shipment or
exportation shall not be inspected, unless required so to be by the
owner thereof.

73. The said inspectors in their inspections shall be governed
by the same rules and regulations as the inspectors of lumber in
the city of Baltimore.

74. The said inspectors shall be entitled to receive as a corn'
pensation for inspecting all boards, plank and scantling, at the
rate of thirty cents for every thousand feet of board measure,
and for inspecting all shingles they shall be entitled to receive
twenty cents for each thousand, the one-half to be paid by the
buyer and the other half by the seller.

75. The Governor is hereby authorized to appoint an inspector
of lumber for Bell's Ferry, or Lapidum, in the second election.
district of Harford county, who shall be entitled to such allow-
ance as is given to other inspectors of lumber in this State for
inspecting and counting lumber.
