from such sale, after deducting six cents for every goose, and
twenty cents for every hog, for his trouble, shall be paid by the
bailiff to the commiBBioners of said town; and if the geese or
' swine be the property of any person, residing in said town, the
owner shall forfeit and pay to the bailiff ten cents per day for
every goose, and sixty cents per day for every hog, impounded
as aforesaid, and the money arising from such forfeiture shall be
paid by him to the commissioners.

73. All fines, penalties and forfeitures herein imposed for the
violation of the charter of the town of Cambridge, or imposed
by any ordinance of said town, may be recovered in the name of
the commissioners, before any justice of the peace for Dorchester
county, as small debts are recovered, and shall be applied to the
repair and support of the market house, and the purchase and
repair of scales, weights and measures, or otherwise in the dis-
cretion of the commissioners, for the benefit of said town.

CIRCUIT COURT.

74. There shall be four terms of the Circuit Court for Dor-
chester county in each year, commencing on the fourth Monday
in each of the months of January, April and July, and the
second Monday of November.

75. The sheriff of Dorchester county shall summon and return,
according to law, a panel of persons qualified to serve as jurors,
to the spring and fall terms of said court.

76. The judge of the Circuit Court for Dorchester county shall
have power to pass all such -rules as shall b» necessary to facili-
tate the transaction of business in said court; Provided, however,
that such rules shall provide for the transaction of equity busi-
ness, and the said court for equity business shall be considered
to be always open.

COLLECTORS.

77. The collector of taxes levied for the use of Dorchester
county, may enforce the collection of the same by distress or
execution.

78. "Whenever he shall find it necessary to proceed by way of
distress or execution to collect such taxes, he shall first leave
•with the party by whom the taxes are to be paid, or at his usual
