By CHARLES F. MATER AND LEWIS MAY.ER,

or T H K B A I. T 1 H 0 B K B A li.

THIS Work will comprise a DIGEST of all th^ DEC] si ONS of tl>e Coum's
of MARYLAND, contained in the volumes of Reports, viz:

Harris & McHenry, 4 vols. Harris & Gill, 2 vols. . Gill, 9 vols.
Harris &Johnson, '7 vols. Gill & Johnson, 12 vols". Md., 14 vols.

also, of the DECISIONS of the SUPREME COURT &f the (Jwr-tD
STATES, construing or explaining the ACTS of ASSEMBLY, which
compose the MARYLAND CODE of PUBLIC GBNEBAL LAW^.

The YEAR and CHAPTER of EACH ACT OF ASSEMBLY, embraced
iu the CODE of PUBLIC GENERAL LAWS, will be given, with a
Copious Index of the contents of the Digest, and Tables of the
Cases digested and cited, and the Acts of Assembly designated.

There will also be an Explanation of the Laic Terms used in the P u 1» I i r
General Laws, and in the Digest. By tins means, any one, however
unfamiliar with the science of law, may readily comprehend the meaning' of
the technical words and phrases used in the Works above mentioned.

The Construction of the Acts of Assembly by the Courts forms a part
of the Law of the State, and, without this Explanation and Interpretatioii,
the Code, of itself, does not convey complete information so as to furnish
proper guidance for professional men or others.

The usefulness and necessity of this Work as an Expositor of the Code
must, therefore, be obvious, and its importance need not be dwelt upon.
