This statute contains five chapters--the titles of which it is not necessary to insert.
 

14 Edw. 3, Stat. 5.--A. D. 1340.

The realm and people of England, shall not be subject to the king or kingdom of France.
 

18 Edw. 3, Stat. 2.--A. D. 1344.


 
STATUTES.

    CHAP. 1.  Commissions of new inquiries shall
cease, &c.
    CHAP. 2.  Justices of peace shall be appointed,
and their authority.


    CHAP. 3.  All persons may buy wools.--The
sea shall be open.
    CHAP. 4.  Commissions to assay.--Weights
shall be repealed, and none such granted.
    CHAP. 7.  When the king's wages to soldiers
shall begin and end.

NOTES.

    CHAP. 1.  Expired.


    CHAP. 2.  Notwithstanding what has been stated
as to other statutes respecting justices of the 
peace, it does not appear that this was necessary
to be adopted with them.
