The bill entitled an Act to continue in force chapter 118 of
the Laws of Maryland, passed at the January session, 1865,
entitled an Act to repeal section 146 of the 3d Article of
the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the office of
Register of Wills for Baltimore county, and re-enact the
same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Adjutant Gen-
eral to purchase arms for the use of Charlotte Hall School,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the 39th section of the
6th Article of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
negro apprentices, and to re-enact the same so as to read as

follows,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading,

The bill entitled an Act to create an additional Election
District in Howard county, to be styled the Sixth Election
District of Howard county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize and require the
County Commissioners of Baltimore and Howard counties to
levy a sum of money for the construction of a bridge over the
Little Gunpowder River near Emory's Ford,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Blake submitted the following amendment:
