A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 50, Article 5, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title, "appeals," sub-
title appeals from Justices of the Peace, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to the 6th.
Article, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Caroline county,
relating to the carrying of concealed weapons by minors.

Which was read a first time.
Also, unfavorably,

A hill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioners of
Queen Anne's county, to refund to William F. Parrott and
C. Carroll Bryan, taxes paid in error.

The report was adopted.
Also unfavorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed February
18th, 1864, and known as chapter 184, of said session, and
entitled an Act to prohibit the issuing of any license for the
sale of spirituous or fermented liquors, within three miles of
either of the churches in the village of Myersville, Fred-
erick county, Maryland, and to prevent the sale of all kinds
of intoxicating drinks within the above described limits.

The report was adopted.

Also, unfavorably upon the following memorials:

Petition of 91 citizens of Frederick, praying the exemption
of the German Reformed Church property in Frederick from
taxation.

Memorial of Joshua Anderson, signed by citizens of How-
ard and Anne Arundel, praying a new condemnation of cer-
tain land at Hooversville, heretofore condemned by Baltimore
and Ohio Rail Road Company, and the passage of a general
law concerning lands condemned by Railroad Companies.

And asked to be discharged from the further consideration
of the same.

The report was adopted, and the committee discharged.
Mr. Mullin submitted the following message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 20, 1868.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We respectfully propose, with your concurrence, the ap-
pointment of a Joint Select Committee of five, two of the
Senate and three of the House of Delegates, to whom shall
be referred the report of the Joint Committee from the two
