of Public General Laws entitled County Commissioners, and
to re-enact the same with amendments.

The House then proceeded to the consideration of the
next order of the day, being

The bill entitled an Act to repeal Article 63, Code of Pub-
lic General Laws relating to militia, and sections 652 to 770,
both inclusive, of Article 4, Code of Public General Laws
relating to militia in the city of Baltimore, and to enact the
following in lieu thereof.

Said bill being upon a third reading,

Mr. Mullin, (by unanimous consent,) submitted the fol-
lowing amendment:

Section 12, line 5, strike out the words "who may hold
commissions," and insert in lieu thereof the words soldiers
and seamen.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Bond, of Calvert, (by unanimous consent,) submitted
the following amendment :

Section 2, lines 6 and 7, strike out the words "and sea-
men on board of any vessels."

Which was adopted.

The bill, as amended, was then passed by yeas and nay$
