Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Poteet, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the 149th, 150th, 151st,
152d. 153d, 154th, 155th, 156th and 157th sections of the
3d Article of the Public Local Laws, relating to roads in
Baltimore county, and to re-enact the following sections in
lieu thereof, with proposed amendments.

Amendments proposed :

Amend section 149, line 6, by inserting between the words
"within'' and "days." the word twenty; and in line 10 of
the same section strike out "five" and insert, two.

Amend section 151 by striking out in line 16, after the
word "purposes" to the word "and." where it first occurs in
line 17, and insert the following : of not less than eight nor
more than twelve cents on the hundred dollars.

In same section strike out all after the word "thereafter,"
in line 19, to the end of the section.

Section 152, strike out all after the word "supervisors," in
line 3, down to the word "provided," in line 6.

Strike out in line 6, section 152, the word "fifty," and
insert twenty-five.

Section 152, line 21, strike out "ten or more" and insert

five.

Section 152, line 25, strike out "five" and insert two.

Section 152, in line 35, strike out "five" and insert two,
and in line 36, strike out "five" and insert two.

Section 153, strike out in line 2 the word "five" and insert
two.

The amendments were severally read and adopted,

And the bill, as amended, read a second time aad ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Poteet, Chairman of the Joint Select Committee on
the Reformatory Institutions of the State, submitted the fol-
lowing report:
