Leave was granted to the Prince George's delegation to
introduce a bill to amend the Public Local Law of Prince
George's county, sub-title "Bladensburg," to prevent swine
from going at large in said village.

On motion of Mr. Nicolai,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
report a bill to increase the Collectors of Taxes in Baltimore
county.

On motion of Mr. Bond, of Baltimore city,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Bond, of Baltimore city,
Rose, Richards, Keech, and Davis, of Carroll, to introduce a
bill to authorize the President and Directors of the Mary-
land Insane Asylum, to convey a portion of the land belong-
ing to said Institution to the Maryland Inebriate Asylum.

On motion of Mr. Montague,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to revoke all pawnbrokers' licenses »in this
State.

On motion of Mr. Poteet,
(The rules being suspended,)

The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill enti-
tled an Act to repeal the 149th, 150th, 151st, 152d, 153d,
154th, 155th, 156th, 157th sections of the 3d Article of the
Public Local Laws relating to roads in Baltimore county,
and to re-enact the following sections in lieu thereof.

Said bill being on its second reading,
On motion of Mr. Poteet,

The bill was recommitted to the Baltimore county delega-
tion.

Mr. Latrobe, Acting Chairman of the Committee on Ways
and Means, reported favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 3 of an
Act entitled an Act incorporating the Maryland Institute for
the promotion of the Mechanic Arts, passed December ses-
sion, 1849, chapter 114, and to enact a substitute therefor,
and to add additional sections thereto, as sections 8 and 9.

Which was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act to release George W.
Kennerly, a minor, of Wicomico county.
