So the House refused to adjourn.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, and the County Com-
missioners of Washington county, to waive the liens ac-
quired by them, respectively, under a mortgage heretofore
executed to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore by the
Western Maryland Rail Road Company, in trust, to in-
demnify the said the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
and the County Commissioners of Washington county, upon
their endorsements, respectively, upon the second mortgage
bonds of said Company,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to add a new section to Article
36, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Estrays and
Vessels Adrift,"

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Mr. Richards moved that the House do now adjourn until
10 o'clock to-morrow morning.

Decided in the negative.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland Land
and Permanent Homestead Association of Baltimore county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend an Act, passed at the
January session, 1868, entitled an Act to amend the 4th sec-
tion of the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed
at the January session, 1864, chapter 29. entitled an Act
to incorporate the Kent County Rail Road Company, passed
on the 8th day of March, 1856, chapter 148, to add four new
sections thereto, and to appoint four new Commissioners in
the place of four deceased Commissioners,

Was read a second time and ordered to he engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act providing for the repairs of the
public roads of Montgomery count}r,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

On motion of Mr. Morse,

At 11 o'clock, P.M., the House adjourned until to-morrow
morning, at 11 o'clock.
