Ordered, That F. Dorsey Herbert have leave of absence for
two days on account of sickness in his family.

Which was adopted.

Mr. McElroy submitted the following order :

Ordered, That Wm. T. Markland have leave of absence for
one day, on account of sickness in his family.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Legg submitted the following order:

Ordered, That no member having answered to his name
as a member of this House be granted leave of absence.

Which was rejected,

Also,

Ordered, That J. W. E. Sudler be granted leave of absence
for this day on important business.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Horsey submitted the following order :

Ordered, that R. H. Corbin have leave of absence for two
days.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Rohrer.

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to define and limit the tenure of office of the
Mayor of the city of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Blake,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions, to re-
port a bill in favor of James Flemming of Baltimore, a sol-
dier in the war of eighteen hundred and twelve.

On motion of Mr. McElroy,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims, to report
a bill to appropriate a sum of money for the payment to the
Judges of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore city, of a claim
for salary.

On motion of Mr. Hopkins.

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill for the purpose of allowing a stay for twelve
months on executions in Wicomico county.

On motion of Mr. Rohrer,

Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation,
to introduce a bill to provide a system of education for
Washington county.
