the expenses of the said Board be defrayed by the Board of
Trustees.

Chapter 6, section 1, line 4, strikeout "day of," and in
lines 4 and 5 insert in the blank, first Saturday in the month
of May ; line 6, after "first," strike out Monday, and in
sert Saturday ; line 31, after "election," add, but if no elec-
tion shall be had on the day aforesaid, then the Board of
County School Commissioners shall appoint said Trus-
tees.

Which were severally read and adopted.

Mr. Bowlus submitted the following amendment:
Chapter 6, section 1, line 9, after the word "clerk," insert
the words, who shall serve without pay.
Which was adopted.

Mr. Wentz submitted the following amendment:
Section 2, line 4, before the word "property," insert
school.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Keech submitted the following amendment :

Section 2, line 8, strike out the word "proper" and insert
the word required.

In line 7, section 2, chapter VI, after the word "for." in-
sert, but when the cost of repairs are to be paid out of a
county school tax, the Board shall determine what amount
should be expended in repairing any school house.

Mr. Wentz submitted the following amendment:
Strike out section 5.
Which was adopted.

Mr. Wentz submitted the following amendment :
Section 9. Strike out all after the word "trustees," in line
5, to "district," inclusive, in line 9.
