The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Long Green
and Jarrettsville Turnpike Company, in Harford and Balti-
more counties.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the appointment of
a Commissioner of Slave Statistics for Wicomico county.

Which was read a first time and referred to Messrs. Hop-
kins, Fooks and Harig.

Also,

The bill entitled a supplement to the Act passed at the
January session of 1864, chapter 116, entitled an Act to
revive and extend an Act to incorporate the Wicomico and
Pocomoke Rail Road Company, with amendments, passed at
December session, 1847.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Internal Improvements.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to authorize Tench Tilghman,
his heirs or assigns, to erect a bridge across the head waters
of Town Creek, at Oxford, in Talbot county.

Which was read a first time and referred to Messrs. Rose,
Lowe and Stewart.

Also, the bill entitled an Act to repeal section 30, Article
47, of the Code of Public General Laws, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

sioners of Queen Anne's county to levy a sum of money or
issue bonds for repairing and altering the Court House in
said county.

Which was read a first time and referred to Messrs, Legg,
Sudler and Lowe.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to provide a summary remedy
against Sheriffs for making false returns to any writ of fieri
facias, or other executions, by adding a new section to Article
'88 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Sheriff."

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
