for a third reading.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Execu-
tive Committee of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian
Church in the United States, with proposed amendment.

Amendment proposed :

Add to section 5, "and the General Assembly reserves the
right to amend or repeal this Act, at pleasure."

The amendment was adopted, and
The bill, as amended,

Read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third
reading.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Monumental
Permanent Building and Land Society of Baltimore.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Bowlus, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
following order :

Ordered, That the special committee to whom was referred
the bill in relation to the Deaf and Dumb Asylum, incorpor-
ated by Act of Assembly of 1868, be required to report by to-
morrow at 11 o'clock.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Slingluff, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably

A bill entitled an Act to establish voting precincts in
the 1st, 3d, 9th, 11th and 12th Election Districts of Balti-
more county.

Which was read a first time and ordered to be printed.

Mr. Clark, Chairman of a select committee, reported fa-
vorably

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioners of
Howard county to subscribe to the capital stock of turnpike
roads in said county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Kean, Chairman of a select committee, reported favor-
ably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 170-, 171
and 172, of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to Alle-
gany county, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
