The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1, 37, 38,
39, 40 and 2 of chapter 252 of the Laws of Maryland, passed
January session, 1867, entitled an Act to repeal the 37th,
38th, 39th and 40th sections of the Code of Public General
Laws, entitled "Licenses." and substitute in lieu thereof the
following sections.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the North
Branch Lumber and Boom Company,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Coudy submitted the following amendment:

Section 2, line 4, strike out the words "either," "or by
proxy."

Which was rejected.

Mr. Slingluff submitted the following amendment:

Section 5, lines 3 and 4, strike out the word "exclusive."
