The following bills, which had passed both Houses, were
this day, at 2 o'clock, P. M., submitted to his Excellency,
the Governor, for his approval:
An Act to repeal section 40, Article 9, of the Public Local
Laws of Charles county, entitled Elections, and relating
to Election Districts, and to enact the following in lieu
thereof.
An Act to repeal section 14 of the Act passed March 13th,
1867, entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore and Hall's
Springs Railway Company, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
An Act granting the assent of the General Assembly of
Maryland to a legacy bequeathed by the last will and testa-
ment of Lydia Styer, late of Allegany county, deceased, to
the English Lutheran Church of Frostburg.
An Act to amend and re-enact the 135th section of the 10th
Article of the Code of Public Local Laws, title Harford
county, sub-title Sheriffs.
An Act to authorize the Board of Directors of the Mary-
land Insurance and Security Company to reduce the par
value of the shares of the capital stock of said company, and
to issue new stock in shares of such reduced value.
An Act to incorporate the Dime Savings Bank of Cumber-
land.
An Act to amend the charter of the Baltimore and Jerusa-
lem Turnpike Company, passed January session,1867, so as
to increase the capital stock of the said company.
An Act to repeal section 138 of the Public Local Laws of
Caroline county, title Justices of the Peace and Constables,
and to re-enact the same with amendments, so as to read as
follows.
An Act entitled a supplement to an Act to incorporate the
Merchants' and Miners' Transportation Company, passed in
April, 1852.
An Act to facilitate the examination of titles to land in
Baltimore county, by authorizing the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Baltimore county to make out general indexes to
the law and equity dockets in his office, and to provide for
paying for the same.
An Act to provide for the re-payment out of the storage
and outage on tobacco, of moneys heretofore demanded and
received by the Inspectors of Tobacco, in violation of the
Acts of 1864, chapter 346, and 1865, chapter 194, and to re-
peal the Act of 1867, chapter 148, in relation to that subject.
