THURSDAY, March 5, 1868.

The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev,
Mr. Burke.

Present at the call of the roll the following members :

Messrs. Stewart, (Speaker.) Loker, Boyer, Beck, Ham-
mond, Iglehart, Deale, Bond, of Culvert, Dalrymple, Mitch-
ell, Chapman, Nicolai, Slingluff, Montague, Poteet, Holmes,
Biddisou, Rose, Lowe, Corbin, Horsey, Percy, Stewart of
Dorchester, Johnson, Davis, of Cecil, Touchstone, Rich-
ards, Mearns, Guy, Williams, Sudler, Legg, Holloway,,
Smith, of Wor., Albaugh, Dutrow, Wenner, Bowlus, Byers,
Silver, Nelson, Vandiver, Brown, Moore, Hubbard, Sanner,
Wentz, Robb, Morse, Blake, Latrobe, Pentland, Smith, of Bal-
timore city, Bond, of Baltimore city, Colton, Mullin, Chaisty,
McElroy, Harig, Markland, Marshall, Conway, Coucly, Her-
bert, Rohrer, Seihert, Riggs, Offutt. Conley, McCulloh,
Kean, Trimble, Hall, Davis, of Carroll, Jordan, Worthing-
ton, Harden, Clark, Jones, Fooks, Hopkins—81.

Mr. Robb presented the petition of N. E. Berry to recover
a certain sum of money for losses sustained in State Tobacce
Warehouses.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Davis, of Cecil, presented the petition of Eli Coulson
and 33 other citizens of Cecil county against the repeal of
the Funeral Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Poteet presented the petition of citizens of Baltimore
county (of the 1st Election District) praying the passage of
a law compelling the Catonsville Passenger Railway to reduce
their fare to the rate allowed in their charter.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr, Albaugh presented the petition of 257 citizens of
Frederick county praying the repeal or modification of the
Sunday Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Blake submitted the following order:
