Mr. Nelson presented the petition of a number of citizens
of Harford county, in favor of continuing the present school
system until the first of July, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

Mr. Montague presented the petition of citizens of the 1st
Election District of Baltimore county, praying a reduction of
the fare of the Catonsville Passenger Railway.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Keech presented the petition of Remus Miles and 100
other citizens of Anne Arundel, Montgomery and Prince
George's counties, praying the creation of a district out of
portions of said counties.

Which was read and referred to the select committee on
that subject.

Mr. Deale presented the petition of Thomas J. Franklin,
R. T. Conner and others, against the removal of the Tobacco
Warehouses from Baltimore city to Canton.

Which was read and referred to the select committee on
that subject.
