Section 2, line 8, before the word "public" insert the word

Which was adopted.

Mr. Coudy submitted the following amendment:

Section 3, line 4, strike out the words "the Court House
door of the county as well as at."

Which was adopted.

The bill as amended was then read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled an Act to
repeal Article 63, Code of Public General Laws, relating to
Militia, and sections 652 to 770, both inclusive, of Article 4,
Code of Public Local Laws, relating to Militia in the city of
Baltimore, and to enact the following in lieu thereof,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Chaisty submitted the following amendment:

Section 5, line 3, strike out the words "two dollars," and
insert one dollar.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Chaisty submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 6, line 2, strike out the word "three," and insert the
word "two."

Which was read.

Mr. Chaisty moved that the further consideration of the
bill be postponed and the bill made the order of the day for
Friday next, 6th of March.

Decided in the negative.

The question then recurring upon the amendment submit-
ted by Mr. Chaisty,

It was rejected.

Mr. Legg submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 7, after the word "exceeding," in line 9, strike out all
to the word "reserves," in line 11, and insert the words
"three dollars per day.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Nelson submitted the following amendment:

Strike out section 8.

Mr. Bowlus moved that the further consideration thereof
be postponed, and
