The Secretary of the Senate delivered the Senate bill en-
titled an Act to amend the charter of the Baltimore and
Hampden Passenger Rail Road Company, passed at January
session, 1865, chapter 32, page 43.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

On motion of Mr. Biddison,
The vote by which

The bill entitled an Act to require the railroad companies
of this State to provide a car or cars for the exclusive use of
the colored people of this State, and to amend Article 77 of
the Code of Public General Laws of the State, entitled "Rail
Roads,"

Was, on 26th instant rejected, for want of a constitutional
majority,

Was reconsidered.

The question being upon its passage,

On motion of Mr. Biddison,

The bill was recommitted to the Committee on Colored
Population.

Mr. Bond, of Calvert, (the rules being suspended,)

Presented the petition of Daniel Kent and 86 other citi-
zens of Calvert county, against the removal of the tobacco
warehouses of Baltimore city to Canton.
