On motion of Mr. Robb,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill, entitled an Act supplementary to an Act
passed January session, eighteen hundred and forty-nine,
relative to the Baltimore Steam Ferry company.
On motion of Mr. Poteet,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill for the incorporation of the town of Luther-
ville, in Baltimore county.
On motion of Mr. Williams,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Prince George's and
Washington Turnpike and Telegraph Company with power
to construct a turnpike road and a line of telegraph between
Upper Marlboro' and Washington city.
On motion of Mr. Bond, of Calvert,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to declare the sanction of the General Assembly
of Maryland to the bequest of Catherine Morton, late of Cal-
vert county, deceased, to the vestry of St Paul's Parish, in
said county.
On motion of Mr. Syester,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Education to in-
troduce a bill providing for a uniform system of public
schools throughout the State.
Mr. Smith, of Worcester, gave notice that he would, on.
to-morrow, introduce an order to amend the Rules of the
House in reference to the duties of the Chief Clerk.
Mr. Rose, Chairman of Select Committee, reported favor-
ably upon the Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate
Burns' Lodge No. 87, of Ancient, Free and Accepted
Masons.
Said bill being upon a second reading,

The enacting clause was stricken out.
Said bill was then returned to the Senate.
Mr. Riggs, Chairman of Select Committee, reported favora-
bly a bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, passed March 10th, 1864, chapter 349,
entitled an Act to repeal section 30 of Article 15 of the Code
ot Public Local Laws, "Montgomery county," relating to
the Courts of said county, and to enact a substitute thereof;
Which was read a first time.
The bill entitled an Act to incorporate Good Samaritan
Lodge, No. 15, of the Independent Order of Good Templars,
Middletown, Frederick county,
